Assuming a USB stick has two partitions, one of which contains Windows installation files, is it bootable?
The problem is for one Windows as a rule generally cannot see or create a second partition with the Disk Management tool while you may or may not be able to with the Disk Part command line option. The problem afterwards however still seeing the secondary while booted in Windows. Windows will typically want to reformat the drive when going to try creating it. You may want to look over an old thread about this. Is it possible to create multiple partitions on a USB flash drive? - - Windows 10 Forums

As with ANY build upgrade, this forum strongly recommends you make an image backup first.
AGREED! I still have an older version of Acronis onhand to make the periodic backup image which is compressed further note the built-in Windows option as far as how drive space is taken up. In fact on the second desktop I always keep a long term image in order to test a new build in the event I decide it won't work out. On the main I did have a second taskbar seen on the secondary which disappeared with this latest build and so far no way to get it back with a rollback.

That was the case until the Creators Update. 1703 can see and use all the partitions on a USB. Disk Management is still limited in that it can only create multiple partitions on a USB that already has a MBR, but if Diskpart is used to create the first partition the USB will have a MBR. Then Disk Management can be used.

I don't know whether my SD card has an MBR, but yesterday I used AOMEI Partition Assistant to create a secondary partition on it, and now both Disk Management and My Computer can see and use that partition.

I have never made one because I enjoy clean installation.

Just checking in to say that the Creators Update seems to have gone smoothly for me. Took about half an hour or so. Now just to work out everything that's new!

Note that 'Control Panel' is no longer there when you right-click on the Start button.

Yes I see, that's bad... Where is it?

Update history seems to have been wiped, anyone else?

Start > All apps > Windows System > Control panel

Update history always starts with a clean slate after an upgrade install of a new system, even if it's a reinstall of the same version.

Good Observation! In the past however getting anything in Active note Windows to see anything but the Primary Only would be limited to what??? 3rd Party Tools! I mean GParted or the Gnome Partition Editor coming the Open Source Community note! would be the GUI option outside of the traditional MS methods as far as "GUI Methods" went! MS had to step back and take a very serious look at how they could introduce User Friendly being "GUI" as well as experienced Old School Dos Command Line Prompt Commands in order to make "10" become far more attractive to what now? "The Less Attracted To" Windows Every Day User market!

When you leap forward bypassing Both 8 FLOP CITY and 8.1 Many are still apt to continue running MS "Wants" note Windows "10" to be the "Perfecto OS" and had and has ended up "RETHINKING" how to attract the now Smart Phone/Fruited Out whatever Hand Held market back into PC Thinking status in order to get back what has been slipping away over several years as the "Technologies" have changed! I mean I talk with from the Main Custom Built Desktop to those who Only Own Smart or Other hand held phones every single day!

Disk Part on the other hand is what now? Something used By Someone Who Cares About Learning the What Now??? PC Platform! which to so many is "Too Much Effort To Be Involved With"! Over and Out! Checking The Mail used to be getting into Windows Mail or Outlook Express inside Windows! Older Legacy had to use an outside source back then or optional element during the early days just for email exchanges!

TODAY on the other hand MOST Will Not even Look at Command Line "ANYTHING"!!! and this is what I am trying to convey here! Disk Part IS Command Line which requires Old School effort compared Modern Day Wonderful EASY TO USE GUI! and why I have to point out that This is what Most Now only want to see! I'm sorry but I know where you are coming from as far finding working solutions BUT! some people only "QUICK AND EASY" and will refuse to listen to alternative option no matter how well they work!

The unfortunate terminology could be "The Tickling of Ears" to explain the trends and us older users are dumb founded at times! by the refusal of a new crowd to follow instructions. They only Hand Held Tech while we BUILD our own custom made PCs while they only see PREMADE Convenience types of Tech. Old School DOS is long gone! A Good Free Partitioning Program with "GUI" will come across over Command Line Anything unfortunately!

The fact that Results have been seen with a "3rd Party" program outside of Windows using a "GUI" method comes as No Surprise! The fact that the secondary can be seen and accessed in Window 10 not Previous Versions also says MS had to take a serious look at the Static Memory technology when it came down flexibility in Partitioning as well as other things. 3RD PARTY TOOLS are continuing to win out over Disk Part! Why? because Command Line is seen as being Old School and while many of us can rely on it? well?

Press the Windows logo key + R and then run 'control panel' without quotes.
I have added a shortcut to it on Classic Start Menu.

I think the above is simpler than the following if I want to keep two versions in one USB drive.
