Why do I get this after every upgrade?

What has changed so it gives a new certificate every time?

I've always had that after every new build. The problem is not a new certificate, but that the old certificate cache is cleared. Well, technically an OS upgrade installs a new version of Windows, then migrates stuff from the old to the new. There's lots of stuff that doesn't get migrated.

Updated the physical machine. The upgrade weighed in at 7.2GB as determined by Disk Cleanup.

No, still won't install. I'm done for now' too tired.
I did the registry key and it didn't even re download; instead, it said preparing to install and got to around 80% and I got the error again.

Went back to copy the error message to post here and it said updates are ready; Install Now. I clicked on it and it's once more "preparing to install"!

    This is getting monotonous!

Edit: Got the same error message again! It just will not redownload! "Windows 10 Insider Preview 16170 (rs_prerelease) - Error 0x80070241".

Known issue. From post #1, from release notes:

    • Some Insiders have reported seeing this error “Some updates were cancelled. We’ll keep trying in case new updates become available” in Windows Update. See this forum post for more details.
TC, it hasn't told me “Some updates were cancelled. We’ll keep trying in case new updates become available”. It just gave me the error number.

That is what I kept getting. But But they posted that one of the fixes was not being able to install an update, yet they post a workaround???

See tomcat's post and link. I think it works--I am downloading now.
Didn't work, Magilla. I'm still getting this error code: Windows 10 Insider Preview 16170 (rs_prerelease) - Error 0x80070241.

So if I knew where the old certificate cache was I could copy it from Windows.old to Windows?

Not that I'm that concerned about it really - just interested.

Anyone know if bluetooth headphones are seen in this build?

They do not even show as a device in creator build. Forget pairing them, don't even show up. Unreal.
I just tried connecting my LG HBS1100s - it continuously tries to connect, and after a couple of minutes it says it was unable to connect.

My nexus 6 phone connects to the headphones in 4 seconds flat.

However, I've always had issues with BT and this particular desktop, so I stopped trying a long time ago, and particularly when I bought my Astro Gaming A40 USB headphones.

Thanks for pointing this out, time to make a report. These LGs are barely 6 months old, so it's not like the headphones are at fault. The dongle I'm using is a bit older, but supports audio over BT 2 or 2.1, IIRC.

I don't think that actually works. I thinkthat you can use something like DISM / nLite to customize your install to include the actual certificates, but the certificate store is always (among other things) set back to default in our IP builds, presumably for safety reasons, but also from a technical standpoint, so that you have to manually re-authenticate your connections after an upgrade.

What I am not sure about is if this happens for people who only upgrade from release build to release build. I suppose that it should, but those don' come out all that often (well, not as often as IP builds, anyway) so it makes sense that this may occur across the board on WinX upgrades.

I am done with this build and this program. I tried their work around and after 20 minutes I got this:

So MS can keep their IP , I am done as a lab rat.
