Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16170 for PC Insider

If you look inside of the folders, you will see that, this hat, the one that works has numerous other folders and files in it. I always look for the one with those folders, using Explorer, and when I find the right one, the path is already in Explorer address bar and I can just copy it from there.

This is what it looks like here, cant just copy the path:

Or am I missing something ? I use Total commander 99.9% of time.

If you click on the explore bar, it turns into the path.

How to include the string with it ?

Like I said, I go into the folders with the strings for names until I find the right one. Then it is in the path.

Only time it kinda bothers me is when I have to make ISO, it's a bit confusing to find out which of those strings to use. Sort by date/time stamp ?
Yes, I got 16170 installed via WU upgrade without an "apparent" problem--it's just that now I have to boot up twice, consecutively, from a cold boot to get the desktop GUI to properly load and run (otherwise only half of it is there from first boot!) So...I'm thinking that I really need an .iso of 16170 to do a repair reinstall with *might* solve that problem and a couple more little ones here and there after 15063.xx. So I am on my second attempt to build the iso from the UUP files, but my uup-converter keeps crapping out because of some silly error related to "One Note" which I almost never use...so now am trying a different converter and a different source for my UUP files. Will let you know how it turns out....this is more irritating than anything else, actually...as they still haven't worked out the kinks relative to the whole UUP approach. Grrrr-r-r-r-r-rrrr!
Just so pleasant and thoughtful of Microsoft to deny an iso for *every test build* to its guinea pigs. Makes so much sense [not.]
Later, gator...
Edit: All my attempts to create an iso with these files using either the 8.z or 7.z converter fail with the same error:
"\Windows\InfusedApps\Packages\Microsoft.Office.OneNote_17.7870.57761.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\images\co ntrast-black\OneNoteSectionWideTile.scale-400.png": blob not found
Edit Number 2: Finally, got an iso--had made a simple mistake of oversight in my part--iso for 16170 came out great--did a repair reinstall without issue--except for the "Hi! We've upgraded your machine, numbskull!, etc." text that still doesn't appear at the conclusion of the upgrade....
Too early to tell as to anything else...but at least things have progressed!

I hope we will be able to create an ISO. It could be months before the 16xxx builds appear on the slow ring
This build expires in 1 month.

Mike. If you're referring to using UUPtoISO, it's the string name of the folder found by searching EXT:ESD in the top right search box. It's in Kari's tut.

I notice with each new build that 'Windows Search' and 'Supefetch' are always re-activated as well as SearchIndexer.exe (Cortana). I take control of that file, stop it from running and quickly delete that file so that it doesn't run....as all I care about is Gaming. Timmy doesn't care about his GamingPC being able to talk to him or him being able to talk to it :)

System Restore is still being disabled as well.
