Just wait only one more day and it comes through on the regular channel. The risk of chasing this one before world release ain't worth the a broke machine. IMO.
Here's the rub though. I highly doubt there's going to be a difference between this week early release and the "official" Tuesday release. There ain't going to be much of a difference other than a few patches that would have been coming anyway

Being 'patch Tuesday' I'd expect a cumulative update would be on the cards for the 11th. There are a couple of bugs to fix, as there were when the AU was released. Hopefully the early release through Update Assistant has given MS a chance for a 'shake down' in the real world - unlike the release of the AU, which was shortly followed by a string of updates (four of them in August) before September's regular 'Patch Tuesday'.

Glad you found a way to roll back. That was my solution, too. I want to wait a few days after the release of Creator b4 I install.

That's the way I see it Bree.

Anyway I've updated 2 of my 3 machines. Haven't done my main rig yet, though it has nothing to do with waiting patch Tuesday and everything to do with compatibility. The real test IS the main rig with all it's bells & whistles in both hardware and software to include gaming.

For those into Photography, both Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom CC (Creative Cloud) appear to be working ok. However, I really won't know how well they, and my plugins (Google Nik & Topaz) perform till I process a couple pf photos later on this week. Same with any printing issues since I print own photos. Will post on this one later.

@AndreyT, I have initialized the upgrade process (setup.exe) from the creator ISO image and there was no error. Then, clean installed the same ISO and there were no issues. The creator installer comes with 4 or 5 editions, Pro edition was detected.

this is alarming, we use multiple user accounts in our household all the time. I'm waiting on Windows update to get the creators update but this is a bad oversight if it's widespread. Has anyone else seen this?
Just installed update and can confirm. store, calendar, mail, camera apps all have their names as ms-resource://Microsoft[....etcetc.app name] on all other acounts except one that did update.

    wsreset did not help
apps launch fine just their names in start menu and title bar is broken.

Thanks for feeding back. Unbelievable oversight. This got missed in all their QA testing and all the insider stuff. I cannot believe multiple user accounts are used so rarely as for this not to get noticed. This isn't going to help my young son much when he tries to use the computer.

    Hi there

Adobe Photoshop working just fine on Creative update

    No issues there at all.

Once up and running with the CU update and a couple of re-boots I have had ZERO trouble. Easily the best and cleanest upgrade for Windows ever IMO. Running now on 3 physical machines and 1 VM.

I have to say though all these machines are essentially single user machines using Local accounts - so what issues there might be with multiple users or Ms accounts I don't know -- and I use things like Photoshop for pictures and VLC / KODI for video / DVD playing.

Good old Winamp still "Keeps on Trucking" -- I like Winamp as it connects to the Gracenote service which is a far better Music DB for auto tagging music etc for Classical music.

    Cheers

It's Tuesday, but must not be "Patch Tuesday". Just ran Windows Update and it says my device is up to date. Nothing to download or install. Maybe later in the day. We'll see ...
