    I've just tried the update assistant from softpedia and it has started the creators update

    Meh, I've just gone all the way through the update and it says I'm still on the old version and now the update assistant has started again

    I just switch to my laptop, which is still downloading & preparing, my desktop is at 20% Working on Update" spinning dots.

    Now my lappy is ready too, see ya'll on the other side(hopefully).
    By the way my desktop has done 2 reboots already.:)

I notice that many updates occur automatically. With small updates I don't even know they have occurred. I always try to make a restore point before a big update actually updates my comp. (for obvious reasons) and I am sometime given notice, often...
Can someone explain what this is all about. Windows 10 Creators Update expected to arrive in April - The Verge How about just a plain ole everyday system that works.
