Lol, I especially like the bit at the bottom about Gordon Kelly requesting they link to the original story... That's because he is deliberately being dishonest, and knows it.. and wants to use his power to force Microsoft to "correct him".

Article is click bait to raise traffic to site and cause confusion to the public.
    Vista Supported till 2017
    Windows 7 Supported till 2020
Windows 8 please upgrade for free to Windows 8.1
    Windows 8.1 Supported till 2023
Windows ten released July 2015 supported for new features until 2020
    Long term support end 2025.
They are the facts. The only thing that is a little fly in the ointment is if you upgrade from an OEM licence and 4 years later a part goes bad, they will probably not let you activate except by a phone call to a rep. If you tell the truth I am sure you will be fine. I have never had any issues with talking to reps about activations once I explain what has been going on. The other thing that has not been addressed is retail licences, how do I transfer my Windows 10 to a new build in 3 years time which I can do with my 7 and 8/8.1 licences. Surely I don't have to install the older OS on my new PC? In that case it would be easier for retail owners to get new keys?

I would expect at least one more name change, likely dropping the 10 and just calling it Windows.
Maybe they'll drop Windows and just call it 10

Gotta turn it around, in marketing an arrow pointing down is taken a negative.

Glass half full / half empty symptoms, Cliff ?

It's an arrow ... I started adding more icons trying to make a W, but that didn't work so I left it the way ti was. Truth is I started with it pointing up because it was easier to figure out how many I needed.

I'm glad Kerry brought up the subject so I could shoot it off on a tangent
