Mine has 1G ram and 8G storage, but I added a 16GB SD card just in case and set storage sense to put everything on the SD card.
i found the problem with Cortana, my MS account has changed to a Local account and I can't seem to change it back or even add another account at this stage. Bummer, because I really like Cortana, hopefully the next update will fix it.
I'm in the process of upgrading my Lumia 640 XL. The download is up to 69%.
I just finished upgrading my Lumia 640xl to Windows 10. I can't find my contacts. I tried transferring my contacts again and they still don't show up. I did get my text messages back. Anyone know where I can look to find them. They're not in in the people app
Did you check that your MS Account(s) on the phone are up to date and do not need to be verified or password entered again? I got all my contacts back first when I had verified my three MS accounts on the phone.

I think you may be right. I tried to log in but all I get is spinning circles.
I had no luck running the latest Win 10 build on my 640XL. I couldn't log in to my MS account. I had a few temporary freeze ups. And the keyboard wouldn't always pop up. I would get a black box where the keyboard was supposed to be. I'm running the phone recovery tool to go back. I probably should of tested on the slow ring first. My phone is back to Window 8.1 update 2

I upgraded to build 10166 again. The only two problems is no keyboard when the phone is flipped and I still can't sign in with my MSA. I can only sign in as a local account. When I try all I get is spinning dots. I'm hoping MS releases some updates or another upgrade and this get's fixed. I've been using Win 10 for so long I get lost using Win 8.
Guys, a tip for those using Call & SMS filter: if you block withheld numbers as I do (you don't show your number, I have no interest to talk with you), and you are wondering why Google Two-Step Verification text message code or some other security codes will not arrive, check your blocked messages; the codes should not be blocked and are not always blocked, but sometimes the WP cannot recognize the sender number as a valid phone number and blocks the code as if it was from a withheld number.
For me this happens almost half of the time when needing a Google / Gmail verification code, always when my bank from my native Finland sends me a code, sometimes with PayPal and so on. In case of a missing code, check the blocked messages first before calling the support and letting they know how bad service they have!
The same in screenshots. You are expecting a verification code, it does not arrive. Go to Messages, open Blocked messages:Even if the counter would show no new blocked messages, click Blocked SMS:
The last blocked message is shown:
Click the last blocked message to see the whole list of blocked messages:
