Downloaded and installed WD update manually just so it doesn't bug me any more.

The problem is when the definitions on the page are different from those that appear in Windows Update, I have been refreshing the page but the version that appears in Windows Update does not appear there:

I had no problem with the update other than having to reboot a second time after install before things began functioning properly--after the first reboot I noticed distinct problems with the GUI that righted themselves after the second reboot.

    Hey guys,

I'm getting windows defender definition update failed, on 4 systems, but if you go through defender itself it says its up to date. Is anyone else seeing this?
Open Wds Defender itself ... Click "UPDATE DEFIN.." Even it say "Up to date"
Let it download and install completely .... DONE .
Go back to wds update ... try again ....:)

Go back to Wds Defender .. :Update .. again" ... see if it take it .. ?
You might have to wait for awhile before you can see "Update KB4016250 for Windows 10 v1703 Build 15063.11" to show up .

It didn't happen since last night, tried everything. To be clear, it's only WD definition update that wouldn't install.
