Crazy reasoning on my part, Nick, but I'm kinda glad it's not a Friday! Weekends the wife snatches the lappy and goes off into coupon/shop/browse/who-knows-what mode, and last thing I need is a botched update!

Tuesday? At least I've got 4 days to fix and/or restore.... dumb, I know...but reality.
Perhaps it's time to get her a pressie

In that case, it's high time 15063 is rolled out to the Release Preview ring.
It never will, you have to be already on 15063 to have any use for that ring. All they get are early updates not builds.

Interesting; I guess I'll stop waiting now for 15063 to be offered while I'm set on Release Preview :)

Does this mean only those who purchased a win 10 license will be able to upgrade on the 5th. Not those who upgraded from 7/8 for free?

It does not say running a version of Windows 10 that was purchaseb, but rather running a licensed version of Windows 10. Free upgrades certainly count.

I think though that this will do a normal update of the system same as Windows Update installing updates. If so then I'm waiting for April 11th to get the Media Creation Tool so I can do a clean install.
