Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10166 Insider
-
It is possible Microsoft suspended feedback as well, tell people get a newer build?
The issued message from Gabe indicated to continue to send 'feedback' even though downloads were suspended

Since most of us are Insiders I suppose that we will get it on or before the 29th.

UPDATED JULY 13, 2015 12:50 PM
We’re only a couple of weeks away now from our public release of Windows 10, and we’re preparing for the world to begin the upgrade process. Windows Insiders have been the first to see our work on Windows 10 at every stage. Now you will also be the first to get a build flighted to you using the channels that we’ll use for targeting and deploying to PCs for our staged rollout.
We’re suspending the availability of Windows 10 builds briefly while we prepare for that, and the next build that we flight to you will be delivered using the production channels. Starting tomorrow, we will also not be delivering any additional ISOs at this point as we really need Insiders to be using, stressing, and validating our distribution and upgrade processes. We’ll make ISOs available again in the future, but for now we ask you to upgrade your current build via Windows Update once the next build is released.
Specifically, this means that in the next 24hrs:
- Builds 10162 and 10166 will no longer be offered over Windows Update, and whatever build you’re on will show as “up to date” if you check for new builds.
- ISOs for build 10162 will be taken down from the Home page - Windows Insider Program site and prerelease keys will no longer activate builds.
Once we have a new build available we’ll let you know through here with a blog post, Insider Hub, and on Twitter.
We’re very close to our public release and we’re working very hard to get everything just right. Please continue to send us problem reports using the Windows Feedback app for any problems that you encounter.
Thanks,
g

Trying to decide on Win8 (already have license) or 10 for new, normally non-Web box. I clean installed 10162 last week and played, probably really mucking up stuff. Was planning to reinstall today to test large file copying. Article makes me wonder if the reinstall of 10162 will work now. Didn't enter key on install simply because if figured I could copy/paste it later. Worked even though not activated. Saw RTM may be released tomorrow (15th), but unsure about download iso availability. So now confused on my next step: try reinstall of 10162, wait a day or so for RTM iso, or lost cause until after 29th with released iso?
Diane, I'm thinking that once MS has everything set up to their liking, we Insiders will get at least a couple of new builds between now and July 29. We have two weeks and one day until pandemonium (July 29 GA) breaks out, so maybe even three new builds. I say this because Microsoft is spiffing up, stomping the last bugs, cleaning house, etc., and they will need someone to test for them. They just don't have enough internal folks to do a thorough job.
Oh, and BTW, no matter how well things are tested, there will be at least one escapee bug . . . count on it! :)

A friend of mine's 10159 updated 10162 just today.

I have had no problems recently with either AMD or CCC for my video board
I've had nothing but problems on my laptop with dual AMD switchable graphics. Numerous ccc has stopped working messages. I gave up trying the preview on it and went back to 8.1. I'll have one more go when the official release happens though.

I've had lots of problems with CCC, Alpha, but for the last three or four builds, no real issues. I hope it lasts.
