    That's just it - you don't get to enter a user name, you enter the entire email address for the account, e.g., sgage@ispname.net. The Mail app assumes that the username for the account is 'sgage', but my ISP uses the entire 'sgage@ispname.net' as the username. In earlier builds you were able to explicitly enter a username, and you can in the Windows 8.1 Mail app. And every other email client on the face of the planet :)

    Hi there. Did you go to "Advanced setup"? You need to scroll down a bit in that box.

    Looks like you're using an older version of the mail app? The newest version doesn't look at all like that. What you are seeing is how it used to be, and how it ought to be.

    Now, you go to 'accounts', and there is a list of the various kinds, including 'other - POP or IMAP'. Clicking on that brings up a screen where all you can do is enter the email address and password, and the mail app goes out to look for it. You don't even get to see 'advanced settings' until after this process. In my case, it churned for a minute, claimed the account was successfully set up. Then I had an option for advanced settings. I went there, fixed the incorrect server info that Mail had made up. No where is there a field to enter just the username...

    I have an email account on yahoo, sbcglobal, gmail, and charter and all 4 were setup by the Mail app without a problem. It takes a while on some of them to 'sync' with the mail servers but after about an hour, all were sync'd

    "All apps" menu not displaying after upgrade to windows 10 build 10166


    Since upgrading to Windows 10 Build 10166, the "All apps" item listing does not display on my Toshiba Satellite C660D. It does show up on my Surface Pro and on my Lenovo E73 i5.

    The "All apps" menu header shows up, but clicking on it only brings up what looks like an empty display area. Any idea how to sort this out?

    No, this is the W10 Mail app. Perhaps you're not familiar with the Modern UI enough to know that scroll bars do not appear until moused over or finger touch. That's why I stated in my post to scroll down to reach advanced setup option in the list.

    done a couple of reboots still nothing
    If you just installed from media, it can take up to 24 hrs for your machine to be re-targeted.

    Why am I not getting the latest Preview Builds?

    Again, usually the username for an account is the part before the @ in your email address. My ISP uses the ENTIRE email address, @ and all. I'm sure the Mail app is trying to log me in with 'sgage' as the username, but my username is sgage@(myisp). A field to explicitly enter user name, like they had until recently, would solve the problem.

    You should be able to put your full email address as your username. Microsoft web based email works that way. I never use the mail app. I use thunderbird.

    Again, there is no way to put my full email address as my username. There is no entry for username, period - the Mail App assumes it's just the part before the @. The outlook.com web mail works fine, TB works fine, just not the latest Mail App. Oh well.
