Don't the latest builds ask for a key on a clean install? They took out the PID.txt file.
Who said anything about a clean install? Upgrade through the ISO.

Why don't you allow user to delete threads within a few minutes of posting?

    still can't center windows

As it say above, you still can't center and lock file explorer on the desktop. Guess they want us to use full screen

Nobody, except me I guess? But if he's being prompted for a key he must not be doing a clean install upgrade, right? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on based on his posts.

I tell you, I just don't understand why some issues are such a showstopper for some people... For instance ,the error on shutdown bug that was in earlier builds was cosmetic, and didn't cause any major problems.. yet people were just adamant about having it fixed and were upset over each new build where it wasn't.... despite the fact it literally affected NOTHING.

This file explorer thing is another one of those things... why do you care so much if it reopens a few pixels differently than it last did? I didn't even notice until someone pointed it out...

The keys are on the page you download from.... so if that's the case, it seem strange why he couldn't figure it out.. they're right there.

Because some of us think an operating system should be polished and have no faults, but all of us have to remember it's not finished yet.

Just did the update install over 10162 , 10166 looks fine no probs (yet ) and as was mentioned earlier the IE restart bug seems to be fixed . OTOH I havent checked for the usual IU app and Edge instabilities that would be remarkable if thet fixed those persistant problems OTOH setting that aside the last few builds are looking pretty decent all in all on my configuration.

I would like a settings > search toggle or rt. click start buttton jump list tick option to turn web search [ off ] in task bar search and the systems >advanced> do not install update download HDWE driver option fixed to where it excludes everything but lets you view them and choose what you want before you download them .

Yesterday I just updated my AMD video drivers and AMD Catalyst utility to a new WHQL driver than Windows has straight from AMD for instance .

This is my 4th update installed test build all the other ones before that and since 10029 in Feb. were clean installs went smooth no probs. .

I will have to check the 10066 Passmark x64 hdd and memory mark I/O throughput scores they have been steadily declining in the W10 test builds from what they wrere in 8.1 and 7 x64 on the same NTFS drive here to a current result of a significant decline over all by the time we reached 10059 a while back and more since then.

OTOH 10062 did show a slight improvment from the build prior to that . I'll post my 10166 results and W 7x64 numbers on the same NTFS drive here when I do that .

I have no issues with this. Explorer remembers to last size and position where it was when closed.
