    Mail for Windows 10 now supports TLS

    The built-in Mail application on Windows 10 has been updated to support TLS after nearly three years since the first Modern app was released.

    As most mail servers have been dropping support for SSL 3.0, users would have been faced with issues connecting through the Mail application on Windows. However, the app has now been updated in the latest Windows 10 build to support TLS.

    Given that the Mail App is sandboxed WinRT, is not compatible with the explorer shell file types,
    is underdeveloped and not backward compatible, it is unclear what use it has other than real time use.

    There are no options to open or save as > eml > txt > htm

    Whether the App supports TLS (improved security) is irrelevant if the App does not support EML
