Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15063 for PC and Mobile Insider
-
Anyone using multiple tabs in Edge most of the time willing to test this, as it happens absolutely every time to me I would like to know if it's just me and my PC ghosts or is this something happening to others as well:
Five or more tabs, select one and open it on new window, move to other display
Attachment 126818
On that new window open a tab or two more. Browse as you would do normally, switching between your two open Edge windows. Let the second Edge window stay open at least a few minutes.
When you then close the second Edge and continue browsing on the one that's left, somewhere between 3 and 10 minutes after closing the second one it just closes by itself without any whatsoever signs of freezing or craash. It just suddenly closes. At least this happens to me, absolutely every time. Close second Edge, first closes automatically a few minutes later.
It's time consuming experiment @Kari. Tried to recreate it, but Edge on first desktop is still running after 20 or 25 mins. I did close one or two original tabs thou..

Kari, I tried and to my surprise, the other Edge closed right after I closed the second one. Didn't take awhile like yours.

I have had this release converted to an ISO and been using it since it's release. I know not to post it here. however, if ANYONE would would like to PM me, I can give them my Google Drive link to the ISO which is DIRECTLY from the MS ESD file. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
Sometimes I wonder........about what I don't know.

Anyone getting a crash inserting a hypertext with any Office 2016 product in this version of Windows?
The crashes all relate to the same DLL ucrtbase.dll.
As soon as I rollback to actual windows version 14393.970 the issue is non existent.
Please let me know.
Thanks
If someone could test this and get back to me it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Don't have Office, but would test if I could. Did you post the question over in Software & Apps? I see several Office posts there. Sorry.....

Hi Dick,
Since this is still preview (I know might be official) and only subject to this version and any other insider builds, this is why i posted here to see if any other user of Office 2016 had this issue.
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for confirming this.

Not that this matters anymore, the 15063 ISO images will most certainly be released in this week, my quite educated guess being tomorrow Tuesday, but there has bee this extremely easy no BS way to get 15063 ISO from ESD file for almost a week already, since Microsoft made 14393 upgrade to Creators Update live last week.
Posted about it in few related threads, including this thread. Quote from ESD to ISO tutorial thread:
Note
Upgrade from
Anniversary Update Build 14393 to
Creators Update (latest build being 15063) is now live. An extract from
15063 release notes:
Attachment 126272
Notice that as build 14393 does not have the UUP mechanism in place, the
upgrade will be delivered as an ESD upgrade. ESDtoISO script in this tutorial works without issues in creating a Windows 10 Creators Update ISO image.
Attachment 126271
If really wanting a 15063 ISO now just install 14393 on a vm, update it fully, opt in to fast ring and let Windows Update download 15063 as ESD upgrade, from which you can then make an ISO without any whatsoever issues.

Hi Kari,
I rolled back my machine because of Office issue. I will try when I re-image.
Thanks.
