My displays just go black, but, I still like 'Bubbles' after all these years!
Does that work for you? If I set it as screensaver it just stays still (but demo is OK)

I think one case to use it was because it means you can lock the computer after a specified time. Good at home if you have children/cats who might press buttons and I think my work PC locks itself using a screensaver too.

    I don't know if there's a better way now?

The easiest way to do this is to navigate to:

Settings -> Personalization -> Lock Screen -> Screen Saver Settings

    and applying the following settings:

You don't need screen saver for that.

Hmmm..., I don't know if it works as a screensaver, I just invoked it from System32

Seems like GPU's issue (driver) then. The same here though, it works, but not blurring the desktop.
    Code:
    reg add "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v "ScreenSaveActive" /t REG_SZ /d "1" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v "ScreenSaverIsSecure" /t REG_SZ /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v "ScreenSaveTimeOut" /t REG_SZ /d "60" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v "SCRNSAVE.EXE" /t REG_SZ /d "C:\Windows\System32\Bubbles.scr" /f

These days with saving planet Earth etc, its better to turn the monitor off rather than use a screensaver if you're gone for any length of time.

My monitor takes 15W at full load, changing halogen bulbs at home for LED would do more good, I did. :)

    Thanks for that one. :)
I'd never noticed that the 'On resume, display login screen' option was enabled when it's set to 'None' and that allows you to select a wait time in minutes. I'd tried 'Blank' before but that still leaves the screen on.

Methinks it's Earth day today, they plan to shut down all unnecessary lights in Belgrade for an hour this evening . I have changed to LED tights in whole house. A 100W light-bulb use only 12W now.
