I'm probably seeing things cause I need more coffee, but looks like MS made me another 450MB Recovery partition. Swiped the space from the OS partition. Checked it with MiniTool explore option, and dates are today...this morning.

    Coffee..................

Release Preview is the latest official RTM Version/Build, but you get the latest patches for it. The Build won't change but the revision will.

For the moment latest official Windows is version 1607 Build 14393 and revision 953 (which is the latest Release Preview)

Once Creators Edition is released, all Release Preview users will stay on that version and Build until next major release (rs3) gets out to the public. Meanwhile that user gets all latest patches, even those who are not officially released through Windows Update for non-Insiders.

Hope this clears up the confusion.
RP was updated yesterday to 14393.969 as was the AU.

I C! Did not know that as I am not in the Release Preview ring and not actively following changes in the Windows Update catalog and Microsoft Knowledge Base. I have no reason to, as everything works great for me on the official builds.

    Thanks for the info!

Updating VM to 15063, just did first reboot, no issues with the DL/Init/Prep parts. Is an Express upgrade as I expected it to be this time. Takes a bit longer to update. So all you impatient, try to let the update do it's thing, it takes a long time on computers with slow HDDs.

With the bods at M$ working overtime on developing Creator, there are bound to be slipups.

They have always had two recovery partitions, one of 1.98GB and another 450MB.

I'm running in a VM and the disks are USB2 attached. I haven't got room anywhere else so it takes some time. I'm used to it . I just set it off and go do something else.
