Alas that must be because she's not fast (closest I could get to a wink emoticon)
This may or may not be considered a bug from Microsoft. During an install from the "official" Insiders Build 15063 Cortana say something like "Alright you are connected, now we'll check for any updates".
However after a great install on an Virtualbox (Testbuild 5.19) The host is openSUSE Leap. I get the following screenprint of winver... Which shows the version as 15063.0. The first check for updates finds the CU. By why does MS make a statement about checking for updates when obviously it does not. This behavior would not be tolerated in an install of Ubuntu for example when you really can check for updates during the installation. However, I guess you DON'T get what you pay for.
It is because 15063 is still an insider build, and NOT released to the general public. While you are installing Windows you are not connected to your Insider account, which is required in order to get the latest insider builds and insider patches.
This is NOT a bug, it is exactly as it should and will be NOW and in the future.
Hi,
Clean installed 15063 on three machines which are not on IP and they al updated without any trouble to 15063.11
Cheers,
Ah yes. That makes sense except for the fact that the CU was released for every version - presumably the installer will know that/. Wel anyway I will wait until April 11 and download a trial version of the RTM from Technet to test this out. It real nit picking on my part as the build works like a champ.
Does anyone have a weird glitch with desktop icons? If I move some icon, another one lost its position too, particularly the icon above start menu button and I have to make several tries to get it back, like there was some invisible wall. I did clean install from ISO 15063.
I don't think so, it's basically one spot which has some bug... I had it before clean install as well... I did a full format of HDD, then installed 15063 and still the same... tried several things with sorting, even option to not align icons in grid, and it's still hard to get the icon back to its spot above start button...
