You can still join and use the link to get the ISO in post 490.. You will need a decryptor to c convert it.

ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File

The esd posted was a tad different than the one I used

    rs2_release_CLIENTPRO_RET_x64fre

Mine did not have the released clientcombined ??

This ESD is all UUW files so the right tool has to be used.
    ClientCombined contains:
    OS 1: Windows 10 Pro
    OS 2: Windows 10 Home
    OS 3: Windows 10 Education
However the link in post #490 is a link to a ClientCombinedSL ESD.
    ClientCombinedSL contains:
    OS 1: Windows 10 Pro
    OS 2: Windows 10 Home
OS 3: Windows 10 Home Single Language
    OS 4: Windows 10 Education

I am not sure what you mean by all UUW files. An ESD to ISO tool is needed for this file. The one that Kari offers in his tutorial here at TensForums is tailored for the ESD that comes through Windows Update. This ESD is not that type. I am just going to leave it there.

The open question for me is how do you convert the ESD in post #490 to an ISO? Using the tool provided by Kari doesn't work and the poster didn't supply any information on how to go about the conversion.

My concern is that the ESD might not be a true MS supplied ESD and the conversion tool required for that might also not be one that will be for an MS ESD.

If someone posts an ESD that's not from MS I still think that it's a rule violation of some sorts.

IMO, I will wait for the official ISO from MS and until then I will totally avoid the one in post #490 and I suggest to anyone else that they should do the same

The ESD in post #490 does come from MS and it is a valid ESD just not the kind of ESD that usually comes through Windows Update. I have downloaded it and I have converted it to an ISO, but not with the tool in Kari's tutorial. Information about converting this type of ESD can be found at the MDL Forums.

And my understanding is that we're not supposed to mention other places to get a conversion tool other than MS and/or this forum.

MDL has very strict rules against the posting of Non Genuine "Homebrew Type" ISO or ESD files. These also isn't any "Official" standalone Microsoft ESD or UUP to ISO conversion tool. The tools were scripted by Adguard and Abbodi. If someone looks at the screenshots or reads Kari's tutorial they'll see He gives Credit where it belongs.

Personally I don't know if Direct Links to another Forum are allowed or not, but see nothing wrong with "mentioning" where You found the files. Knowing Enthousiast as well as I do, I guarantee He deserves His Title of Obsessive Compulsive Tester :)

Out of respect to TenForums and Kari I will not post any direct links to another forum concerning ESD conversion tool(s) . If the information I mentioned is not allowed here then John or Shawn are free to remove it.

This a help forum, not the Gestapo. When reasonable and for the soul purpose of help, links and credit is given where it belongs. Suspicious software should not be posted anywhere.

This forum deserves credit because it really helps users.
