    Methinks its a false positive....have performed this operation several times on both Insider and public released versions.
    If System Restore is turned on Windows automatically does a Restore point on each update.
    Have just done a restore, which shows your pointed out flaw, then a scannow, and a dism, no fault being found, afterwards checked all Apps plus updated Apps
    Everything appears to be working normally.
    Yup, everything is working normally except System Restore. It's still broken. Hopefully MS will fix it soon. It was a nice feature to use when I didn't want to go to a full restore using Macrium.

    LOL Excuse me but I chose to believe my lying eyes as I see it on all the computers here. And what my lying eyes are seeing has been confirmed all over the internet including here. If your's isn't broken then you seem to be a rare exception.

    @Brink

    Thanks, updated without issues. Downloaded from MS Catalog before I realized that the same update got pushed to Windows Update. Used WU to apply the update.

    Had an issue with this latest update KB4015438. The first time it just sat there for quite some time not doing anything so after about an hour I reset and tried again. Right now it is sitting in my Update History as "Requires a restart to finish installing" I restarted, and the status is the same.

    SFC and DISM run clean.
    PS. I noticed before this issue that the DISM command completes much quicker than I remember. Currently my DISM completes in under 4 minutes..

    Brink after reading your reply I checked for updates, and once again KB4015438 is trying to download. It appears to be going extremely slow if at all. I'll sit back and see what occurs, and if it downloads, and installs I will check for any additional updates hoping to can get KB4016635 next.

    The KB4016635 update is not being released via Windows Update, it's only available to download from the Microsoft Update Catalog. See:
