I'd seen the post about the ISO and checked The Rules and was surprised that it wasn't prohibited ?

On MDL linking of "Homebrew" ISOs or eds files that are Not Genuine as Downloaded from Microsoft (like a encrypted esd download that was un-encrypted then linked) is against the rules.

    Source: Forum Rules
3.4 No modified/homebrew ISO images generally. A modified ISO means that it doesn't match an original manufacturer's (such as M$) / OEM vendor's ISO content. Patches are allowed when they convert versions. All contents must be original.

The reason for that is twofold: First the off chance that someone had included some type of Malware. The second has to do with the possibility of DMCA takedown Notices that might result from their posting.

I believe the ISO in question was made directly from a downloaded official Windows 10 installation package, so no modifications at all. It's perfectly OK according to my understanding of the forum rule.

    Hi

larc919 - Yes...that's correct. I made that directly via MS's own files. It contains absolutely no additions/removals/mods/etc. It's exactly what you would get from an MS .ISO directly from their site.

I merely posted it as a courtesy to others who had problems converting the files into a single .ISO archive.

By the time most read this, another release will be on the way...lol.

    Tnx

    Tim

Thank you, Kari. I will do this when I next boot into Windows 10 where I am using Hyper-V. I already have a VMware Workstation (latest 12.5.4) VM of my dual boot physical which is working fantastically. I am running it now under openSUSE Leap 42.3. I will be interesting to compare performance between the 2 virtualization platforms.

Why am I seeing youtube channels saying they have the creators update release already? They seem to be acting like they have the RTM. Possible?

I'm not so sure about that, but I I've not heard anyone can run that except you recently.
