Just so you'll know. Any time you clean install, Windows will start you out on Slow Ring, even if you were on fast before. That's just the way they do it. Always have to check after a clean install, probably after any repair, also. Just be aware.

Actually a good idea. Specially for multilingual users like me and Kari that use language packs, where an upgrade to some builds, could be a "problem"(note quotes, not really a problem, but extra preparation is needed sometimes).

Even after some updates it kicked me down to slow ring, that's why I always check.

The image captured gets stored in ClipBoard. Use paint to paste the image there and then save to whatever file format and filename/location you want.

There was another step not detailed in the above post. Prior to the "MTP USB Device" being detected, and I didn't note it, either. But It was named in such a way that inferred it was to do with USB devices.
One of my 'el cheapo' USB to C cables didn't work as first. Be as well to use the cable that came with the phone. The cheapo is working now since the phone has been set up.
    - interesting..
    - judging by what Dona tweeted, the current problem is known to be build-specific
    - guess we'll just have to wait until the matter is resolved further down the chain..
    - doncha just love being on the Insider Prog..

    - ha, ha!!

Assuming ESD is dead, and further assuming possibility to disable UUP simply with changing DWORD SupportsUUP to 0 in registry remains, that would create an excellent, totally 100% sure and easy way to toggle automatic build upgrade downloads ON and OFF as user wishes even for Fast Ring users.

Disable UUP, wait for new build being released, read the release notes to check if any of known issues is a deal breaker for you. If not, if it looks OK to upgrade, edit registry enabling UUP and download should start immediately. When upgraded, disable UUP again and repeat the procedure with next builds.

Another scenario: Enable UUP to let your machine download the build upgrade, make ISO from UUP files, disable UUP, run Disk Clean-up to remove downloaded UUP files, restart. Your PC remains in previous build, does not try to download upgrade again, you have the ISO to upgrade later whenever you want to.

It's a shame if ESD is dead. It was far faster and more reliable for me.

It's still too early to say for sure, only Microsoft knows and they are not telling. Last four builds have been ESD, no ESD, ESD, no ESD.

However, it's not very plausible they will keep two different upgrade methods parallel alive.
