Same as you guys KB3150513 has been installed 3 times for me .....guess MS wants to make sure we got it.
Moe like, they want you to have the latest compatibility definitions. In Post #1 Brink quotes the KB as saying...
    File Information

    x64 Windows 10 Version 1607

File name File version File size Date Time Platform
    Appraiser_data.ini Not applicable 68,614 11-Mar-2017 03:21 Not applicable
    Appraiser_telemetryrunlist.xml Not applicable 30,170 11-Mar-2017 03:21 Not applicable

But the KB now states the dates as being...

    x64 Windows 10 Version 1607

File name File version File size Date Time Platform
    Appraiser.sdb Not applicable 2,438,958 27-Apr-2017 01:35 Not applicable
    Appraiser_data.ini Not applicable 68,614 27-Apr-2017 01:35 Not applicable
    Appraiser_telemetryrunlist.xml Not applicable 30,170 16-Mar-2017 00:50 Not applicable
Seems they may be updating the definitions and re-issuing them under the same KB number, as is the practice for Defender definitions.

And yes, my 1607 machine has had them installed twice.

In the UK we have an expression - 'painting the Forth Bridge'. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, it to update the first post daily. Were now up to Revision 23 :)

    Hello,

KB3150513 has installed five times on our Windows 10 1607 desktop machine (3/16, 4/21, 5/2, 5/4, 5/9) after the 5/4 install we started having problems.

The screen starts flickering and developing horizontal lines that resemble horizontal hold adjustments on old TV sets. Then the computer locks up (keyboard and mouse). We have to do a hard reboot. When we tried to system restore to an earlier date, we get an AppXstaging error (0X80070091) and the restore fails. But the computer runs fine after the failed restore. Until the next morning when it starts all over again. Yesterday and this morning Windows could not log us into our account and instead logs us into a temporary account with a generic windows background screen. After several restarts the system works.

Anyone else having these types of problems?

When updating this KB3150513 through Windows Update, I got error could not update.

Then I manually download from MS website, then run the downloaded .msu file manually, but I got "Installer encountered an error: 0x800b0001. Unknown trus provider." error instead.

    Help please..

I didn't realize this till tonight when I got to checking my update history that I've received KB3150513on the following dates:
    4/21
    5/2
    5/5
    5/16
    5/24
And I now have another KB3150513 (for the 6th time) knocking at the door saying it's ready to download on my 1607 laptop.
It'd be nice if MS would offer an explanation or if MS Update has lost it's mind.

Each one of these are different, they are compatibility updates similar to KB2952664 for Windows 7. So we are likely to see constant revisions of this update.

We already have - at least 28 of them...

The key component that keeps being revised is the compatibility database. Compare its date in the current KB article with those quoted earlier in this thread and you'll see what I mean...
