Point with my quote was only to confirm what you posted, that it seems ESD upgrade does not work anymore at least with 15055 upgrade.

installed 15055 had couple of problems
menu would not work and even right clicking on it didn't work ,solved by reinstalling the newer synaptic touchpad driver
groove music would not open so had to reset it to get it to work

Internet Explorer isn't installed by default,

and, classic Windows Defender UI is no longer in Control Panel

Yes, Internet Explorer is an optional package. Was optional in 15046 too.

I feel for you @Kari! Been there, done it, felt it! Glad to see you back, cheers for that.

Downloading the UUP atm, after that I'll give the ESD cycle a shot! Let's see if MS is a bit more forgiving here in The Netherlands. [emoji854]
