    Windows 10 Pro

This build was already downloaded and waiting for a restart when I got home. The only problem so far was with the weather app. It wouldn't launch so I by fixed it by reinstalling.

    Windows 10 Fast Ring

It's spooky, I wake up the computer and for the third time now, it is already booted up to the new build. Change a few font sizes and I'm done.

BTW, I can finally turn on GAME MODE and play World of Warcraft. Whatever Game Mode is. I will have to read about it someday

Spooky - Just opened up a 14393 1607 fast ring Insider, that I had prevented from installing 15048 on, and it starts downloading 15048 again. So I reset the Windows Update system again:

Retried and again it wont download 15055, but tries to download 15048 again

Why is this behaving as if slow ring?

The reason for upgrading from an older version is to try to force a canonical rather than express UUP -type download.

    I've installed it, as well.

One thing I notice in the latest TP builds - I do not recall now when exactly this started - is that Edge does not respect the setting "Always close all tabs". I set it this way and when I reopen Edge and open a couple of tabs, it keeps asking me to close them all.

Also, the NVIDIA driver still requires a clean installation so that the openCL.dll files will have the appropriate file size.

Anyway, I'm done reporting this issue.

Converting to ISO from the UUP DL now, then update...my VM updated fine already.

I think there's a way to tell if UUPtoISO is likely to be successful. It depends what you find in ActionList.xml

The .xml file typically opens by default in IE when double-clicked

If in the first section, all "Package Payload Types" are "Canonical", then you are good to go. If any are "Express" then beware, it may not be successful.

If you can parse the xml and sum the "DownloadSize" values, then you should have an idea of how large the full package will be.

I'd be grateful if one of the coders here could provide a script that would do just that!

    Any Takers?
