Do you have to have the preview pain turned on in explorer? I'm not seeing anything either and getting curious as to why? And I haven't turned off show sync provider notifications. I have the preview pain turned off though.

I need to check that out later on and then I can reply properly.

I've seen this ad twice, always when clicking on Quick Access in File Explorer. Local account and everything in Privacy Settings disabled (off).

    Hello @wordsworth, :)

This will turn it off for you if you like.

Thanks Brink. I was aware of a way to shut it off but in truth an ad like that does not bother me much, or for MS Office etc in Live tiles. Microsoft is a commercial enterprise and in the business of selling things and I have expected with Windows as a service that things like this would occur. If the ads are kept toned down and not neon signs flashing in our eyes I'll not complain much. If they don't keep a low key approach as I think this ad is, then that will be a problem and Linux looms.

Interesting. I have sync provider checked and have never seen any adds. I have Windows Pro retail.

I have Windows 10 Pro retail as well since the free upgrade version went with a computer that I gave away, although this install is now a digital license.
