If you're not seeing them be happy. I haven't seen any till this morning and my box was checked up until then. I guess not everyone will see them or have them pop up at the same time. Probably depends on system configuration as to what might popup. As I said, they're mainly did you know tips.

You(like me ) will probably never see an ad if you use the Windows 10 default settings and more or lees the default programs.

When I click like a PDF on the web and Edge shows the PDF.

But, I have a 3rd party program, I prefer, (for PDFs on my system I use Sumatra, which keeps them all open and in separate tabs(I have about 17)) .

So as long as I use the Win10 default settings, Microsoft is happy, and doesn't remind me(slap me on the fingers)

Microsoft (just like the banks) can alter their side of the bargain any time they like.

Hopefully people will start screaming on "farcebook" and "twatter" and MS will panic about the bad publicity.

It's a pity that Windows isn't OSS, because by now we'd have dozens of W7 forks to choose from.

Things change every time a new build gets released. Good or bad, that's the way it is now. I'm not sure I like or dislike the way things are going? I'm trying to stay optimistic though.

So far, for me, I haven't had to resort to gpedit or regedit. What I don't like I can turn off via settings or control panel. When that changes I'll resign my MVP status. Plain and simple.

I am getting One Drive pop-up ads when I do a "File" > "Save as" especially on Office programs and even on third-party programs. This usually happens just the first time I do a "Save as" in a day. I reboot every day.
