Hello Windows Insider,
We’re incredibly honored to have IT Professionals like you participating in the Windows Insider Program and evaluating Windows 10 features. Based on your feedback, we are introducing new features and functionality to better support our IT Pros and business customers, including:
- The option to participate with corporate credentials (rather than just your Microsoft account).
- Increased visibility of your feedback — especially on features that support your organization’s specific business needs.
- Connections to a robust community of IT experts and global subject matter experts with insights on the topics you care about most.
And that’s just the beginning. Over the coming months, we’ll be rolling out other exciting features. For more information — and to let us know what else you’d like to see included — please complete our pre-registration form.
On another note, we'd like to thank you all for your incredible response to our recent Windows Insider Program survey. The feedback you provided will help us tailor the Insider Program to your specific needs and interests. Congratulations to Peter H. of Sweden who won our draw for a $1,500 (USD) Microsoft Store gift certificate for completing the survey.
Windows 10 Insider Preview Update
As you know, our engineers are continually drawing on feedback from Insiders like you — and the work they’ve put into the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview* builds shows it.
These builds showcase an exceptionally large number of features inspired directly through Insider feedback. They cover everything from gaming to security, accessibility to multi-tasking. Check out a few highlights below for PC and let us know what you think.
As usual, you can go here for more details on all the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview builds for both PC and mobile.
- Do more at once with the new Compact Overlay window. Keep watching a movie or video chat on one corner of your screen — even when switching apps to check email or browse the web. When an app window enters compact overlay mode, it’ll be shown above other windows so it won’t get blocked. Look for updates to the Movies & TV app and Skype Preview app to take advantage of this feature in the near future.
- A smart way to lock your PC. Dynamic Lock automatically locks your Windows 10 PC when you’re not around, based on the proximity of your Bluetooth-paired phone. If your Bluetooth-paired phone is not found near your PC, Windows turns off the screen and locks the PC after 30 seconds.
- Announcing braille support in Narrator. We love getting feedback from our visually-impaired Insiders and implementing features to support your needs. Go here for steps on using braille with Narrator.**
- Xbox Gaming Features. We’ve rolled out some awesome new features for gamers. For more details, go to this blog post on Xbox Wire.
- Built-in Beam streaming. Beam is the easiest and quickest way to stream gameplay — and it’s now part of Insider Preview builds.
- Introducing Collections in Feedback Hub. A few months ago, we asked you what was one of your biggest pieces of feedback about the Feedback Hub. You said, “too many duplicate pieces of feedback!” So now, we’re happy to announce Collections which groups together feedback for similar problems and suggestions.
