Microsoft authentication issue hits Outlook, Skype, OneDrive, Xbox

Microsoft authentication issue hits Outlook, Skype, OneDrive, Xbox users

Many Microsoft users are reporting they cannot access their key services this morning, March 7, thanks to what looks to be a Microsoft Account authentication glitch.

Microsoft is apparently experiencing some kind of authentication issue which is preventing many from being able to sign in to their Outlook, Skype, OneDrive, Xbox and other Microsoft accounts.

A number of users have taken to Twitter to ask why they cannot get into these Microsoft Account (MSA) enabled services. I've seen complaints starting around 8 am ET today (EDIT: 1 PM CET), March 7. By 9 am ET, some were saying they were beginning to gain access to their accounts. Others said access was intermittent.

My wife can't play the MS solitaire game. All she get's is the start page that says loading and has spinning circles.

Although not explicitly stated, this would probably have some bearing on their decision to not release a new build today. Part of MS self-host and testing must be tied to the ability to authenticate the build to your account. I may not have used all the correct words, but you get the idea.

You might be right there. At least that would be logical.

Personally I understand completely the severity of the Solitaire situation and therefore suggest getting the Win 7 version from here: WinAero
