A few days ago, I said (IMO) that Slow Ring Isos were being issued more rapidly than previously, and it was pointed out to me that MS had released isos quickly when it was not possible to create an ISO using UUP to ISO method.
However 15048 has just been released to Slow Ring which can have an ISO created using UUP to Iso method.
So I still maintain there has been a policy shift i.e. the Slow Ring is no longer that Slow!
The point of Slow Ring was to get Insider versions with lesser risk but now that criterion hardly holds any more as the recent Slow Ring releases have barely had one week of testing.
This is of course nothing new. Exactly the same happened with original release version 1507, November Update version 1511 and Anniversary Update version 1607: the closer we came to official release of a new version, the faster we got Fast Ring builds, and the faster we got Slow Ring builds (and ISO images).
I am 100% sure that, as happened with Insider builds released after versions 1507, 1511 and 1607, when Creators Update (version 1703) has been officially released for general public and we go back to normal, it takes quite a few Fast Ring releases before the next Slow Ring build will be released, quite some time before next ISO will be released.
