Have to say I agree, Kari!

But maybe we have other little quirks - just maybe:)
I have quite some, I know. I am narcissistic, vain and egocentric man with extremely difficult personality :)

I was not criticising, I am not saying that it shouldn't be done. I just don't understand it.

Brightness doesn't work on my ThinkPad, it's 100% all the time. On last build at least i could lower it on lock screen by key combo.
Maybe redownload and reinstall the latest graphics driver for your laptop from Lenovo's website. I know that whenever I clean install Windows on my Thinkpad laptop, the brightness remains at 100% and only by installing the latest driver does this problem disappear.

    You could try this.

Edwin, please do not misunderstand me now, I am just stating a very personal, subjective opinion.

I've never understood why it is so important to some users to remove the watermark in these Insider builds as well as for instance in various Windows evaluation versions like 90 day Enterprise trial and similar.

I would be very pleased to learn how does the watermark if left there change Windows behaviour? It must do some harm or eat resources, otherwise removing it seems a complete waste of time, completely unnecessary.

Anyone else found this version won't sleep on timeout? Hope I'm not going back to the very bad old days when my 8.1 did this!!!

The screen goes off but not the comp. Can't see anything running in Task Mgr and can't see anything in Event Viewer. Power management in devices hasn't changed.

Something else weird - my other W10 release comp is now not sleeping either! Up till now both slept as expected. Admit I can't see why 15048 could affect another comp, though.

While I was downloading Malwarebytes and running it, Windows Defender managed to open, so I ran a quick scan when Malwarebytes had finished, it ran normally.
Unfortunately, WD still takes an age to open.
I will try uninstalling it and reinstalling, it might help.
It is taking 32 seconds to open, better than earlier.
I see the same thing. Very slow opening Windows Defender (almost a minute for me) from Control Panel. Windows Defender Security Center is very quick, no delay. I'm guessing (euphemism for assume :) ) that WD in Control Panel is going away, probably soon.

Agree. They may have tried to rip it out starting with 15046 and missed a few pieces, hence the wacky blank UI and finally coming up.
