I know but I got a tad tired of opening my case .
I installed the adapters for my SSD drives that install in the front of your case. You can eject and switch HD's all you want and never open the case except to install the adapters. I got the idea from BadRobot. He has a picture of these on a thread somewhere here. Here is the brand. These work great. You can get these for SSD's: StarTech.com 2.5in SATA Removable Hard Drive Bay for PC Expansion Slot.

I'm truly glad to hear that. But Trust's first line issue talks about sound card driver issues and you have onboard sound, right? And many of us have dual graphics (SLI/Crossfire).

So I will expect to "have that too" with the July 29 release, which is my point.
That's up to drivers to fix that and Dx12 of course, haven't seen many Dx12 drivers yet.

What do you do when you have working drivers installed and the "Upgrade" installs something newer that may work for others, but not for you?

"Up to drivers to fix" I assume meaning the hardware manufacturers, yes as previously mentioned we heard that a lot in the 8.1 forums.

At least Nvidia's Direct x 12 Microsoft WHQL driver have been out for sometime with Nvidia definitely boasting about that (see the snip below from their website). Believe AMD is saying use the Microsoft drivers that the insider program installs.
Again, all I'm expecting at the July 29 release for the Nvidia 10 drivers to work at least as well as 8.1 drivers, same or better performance and no direct x crashes. Trust mentions direct x 12 issues. Since there are no direct x 12 games out yet I assume that means issues with current (direct x 11) games. Hope not.

"As the launch of Windows 10 and DirectX 12 nears, our GeForce drivers have taken a major step forward: WHQL certification has arrived. It’s no small task. Next to the operating system, the graphics driver is one of the most complex pieces of code on a PC. We worked closely with Microsoft to develop the new DX12 standard. And that effort has paid off with day-one WHQL certification. - See more at: http://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2015/05/15/dx-12-game-ready-drivers/#sthash.hW1YJeQl.dpuf"

Didn't have that happen either. Actually only today opposite happened, I downloaded newest driver from Realtek but one that was distributed by MS was better. Notice that I said "distributed by MS" because HW manufacturers are the ones that write drivers and they are the ones that are responsible fort hem. MS just provides Api. Therefore we should press HW manufacturers to get their finger out and do something on time. Some of them are notoriously slack in keeping up.

But based on the "ONE" philosophy, they shouldn't release 10 until its working without common issues for all users.

Is it ready? I have no clue, but I am reading recent posts about similar issues that 8.1 had. I agree with Trust. A release date shouldn't have been announced unless they have a completely stable product, or if they are 100% sure they will achieve that by July 29. IMHO, they certainly did not have that with the 8.1 release. They need to do it better this time and take all the time they need to achieve that. If there are issues like Trust mentions, I certainly hope they do delay as opposed to the strategy they took with the 8.1 release.
Well, There has been no OS to date that has been released that didn't have some bugs. It's just par for the course, Think of testing over 60+ million lines of code and now you get the picture of what MS faces with this OS. It's going to take time to get it as close to perfect as they can and that will occur over the upcoming year or so,

And finally, All users are not having the same issues. For me, at least, I don't have any issues with build 10162.. of course Your Millage May Vary with this.

I don't think it is ready for release, and that is the reasons for delay.

The 10162 I have still has sound card issues and driver issues. DirectX seems to be having difficulties, some of my Legacy software still doesn't run properly. And Edge isn't even fully enabled. I think that the Insider group will be far more forgiving then the general public, if problems arise. I don't think they should have announced a release date without having a completely stable product. I have a feeling this is going to be a messy release. And again, since they haven't given any pre-order numbers, I think it may not be in as great as demand as hoped for.
Why don't you fill out your system specs. Maybe it is that your system is not ready for Windows 10..?

That is fine for you. I do not use SSD drives. When they come out with a 1TB SSD that is reasonably priced I may buy one. But I have 4 perfectly good Hard Drives that I am not going to just trash.

They also make these adapters for Hard Drives as I have one also for my 1TB Hard Drive. Never mind ignore the suggestions and just do what you want.

I use one of those. It does help. When all is said and done and when I upgrade to Windows 10, I may just get an SSD and be done with the Spinners.
