So glad I don't use Yahoo for any important mail or even go online with it at all
Yahoo is warning some customers that state-sponsored attackers have accessed their accounts by using a sophisticated cookie forging attack, which doesn't require obtaining user passwords. The notice is a continuation of the company's response to a series of historic data breaches announced last year.

It's oddly funny to me, but I feel safer after a breach has happened, and I know my account was not a part of it. Like now I'm safer because they will watch things closer, and add extra layers of protection to prevent, and warn users of anything they think may be going on. As compared to other companies you never hear of an attack on. Not that they have been breached, but that it could happen because there could be a hole somewhere, and it's just a matter of time. It's like not having a security system for your home, and only having locks on all windows and doors. Then one day someone breaks in, and now you get serious, and get extra security. Cameras, sensors, etc along with the locks. Much safer now. I feel better.
Yeah, still on my process of desmantling my old Yahoo account. Once I'm sure there's anything attached to it, I'll shut it down for the good.
