    It feels like the people at Microsoft are still on Christmas break. Haven't heard much from them since then.
    Actually, you're almost right. Key people were missing at Microsoft during the Super Bowl timeframe. Today, "patch Tuesday" happens to fall on Valentines Day. The same thing is happening in my insurance industry. The biggest companies have key people who haven't quite come out of holiday party mode.

    A little over a week ago, Insiders were mumbling that UUP would not be ready any time soon, then with build 15031, UUP delivered flawlessly, and shut the moaners Inside up.

    Now a missing Defender update, and "patch Tuesday" delayed again sets those users with a tendency to atrial fibrillation thrilling to some perceived breakdown at MS HQ.

    One "patch Tuesday" probably later this year, maybe even next month, will see a new feature build dropping onto your machine.

    The current RTM AU Public build is 14393.693.

    The current Insider Release Preview Build is 14393.726.

    Today's delayed normal second Tuesday of the month Updates have nothing to do with the Release Preview Build. That is an "Insider" option....NOT public. The 14393.726 update came out around January 26th. Totally apart and separate from the normal everyday public build. There is no connection!

    Time for them to stop this cumulative update idiocy & go back to single patches. They might take a lesson from this occurrence, although I highly doubt it.

    Previously, Microsoft could delay a single patch—when, for example, that patch had been previously announced but had not been completed in time—without impeding the company’s ability to release all other fixes. That occurrence, while uncommon, was not extraordinary.

    Best to keep separate Cumulative updates as on the Insider version, and Security updates on the released to the public version.
    This thread concerns the general released version.

    @D4ni3l,

    Technically, you are correct. It is available to the general public. It will not be offered to the general public thru the normal Windows Update process. It is intended for the Insider program for those who have chosen the Release Preview Ring, or for those who wish to update manually by using the Catalog or install via .cab file. Not something normal (public) users would do, or even know about.

    Any Guests visiting this forum or new members reading this thread should not interpret this KB as something they need to do. It would likely be out of the scope of their skills. They may, if they choose, but it shouldn't be interpreted as necessary.

    I mean, complainers will complain. No matter what. If the thing gets released andhen re-patched, wow, armaggeddon. If not, wow, the same.

    Just chill, people. Is your W10 having any issues at the moment? I guess not. The thing will come when it gets ready.

    Obviously Adobe Flash Player received the new updates. My updater programs are showing an update available for Flash Player - which usually means MS has updates pending.
