Very sorry Tomcat. I am replying to messages that are either quoting Karl or have links to his stuff. I'll be more careful in the future. This is what happens when you pull all nighters in your '60's

    Sure @Kari

In my VM that has 15031 installed, has different icon in Edge than on my main test computer.

I also found that in the VM, when manually updating Defender definitions, it could not be done. Ended up getting an error. Also manually updating using Windows Update ended up in an endless detection/installation/re-detection loop. Automatic updates however updated the definitions just fine.

I found that it is a know bug and MS is looking in to it. Now I can't find the site where I read it, but I will post it here once I lay my eyes on it again.

Are we enough back on topic now?

OK. Did I miss the answer to my question about why installing the Hyper-V feature in the Windows 10 Previews requires only one reboot while installing the feature on Windows Server 2016 (and previous versions of Windows) required two reboots. The reason for the 2 reboots I learned from VMware's Jim Matson is that installing Hyper-V essentially virtualizes the physical machine.

Anyway I misread Kari's name because of a vison problem. Good to know that I can help you guys through your build withdrawl :)

Guys, please let's get back to the topic.

Walt, only explanation I will give: me being called with a wrong name is one of two constant causes for my frustration. The other is my nationality. Although I live in Germany, I am a Finn and proud of that yet I am often greeted here on TF in German and thought to be German.

I snapped in that post in question, it was once too many times I was called with wrong name although I have repeatedly tried to correct this. Me mentioning another member's nationality was an accident, nothing to do with the matter in question, I cannot explain it but it might have something to do with the fact that I said aloud, in my native Finnish when I saw the post I quoted "I am Kari, I am a Finn!" (really, I said that. Alone, aloud).

It was a by-product of an angry old geek feeling frustrated; I don't have much to be proud of, only my name and nationality. I apologize I combined these two when only my name was the matter.

Marty, my apologies, I should have thought that maybe a vision issue was causing this misunderstanding, small i looks very much like small L. Sorry. I really should have thought of that.

Can we please go back to the topic.

I haven't checked the icons add of yet, haven't really had a chance.

Defender definition updates don't fall in either host or guest machines.

Well the good news is that Fences' sluggish behaviour is fixed, the bad news is that new bugs that are far worse have been introduced:

Middle clicking a link in Waterfox is doing nothing, link doesn't open, neither does ctrl + left click, only option is to right click and choose open in new tab.

Right clicking programs/folders on the task bar does nothing, only search/start can be right clicked.

Clicking the clock to expand it (or right clicking it) does nothing.

Edit: Just switched to a "clean" admin account that has never been used and these problems don't seem to exist, so I guess it's some issue in my user account that suddenly arose, that sucks Will try a clean boot.
