Whatever the next build will be and even if some members will think "Why is he always repeating that? It has been told already!", I want to remind you geeks about this:

If you want to get the next build as ESD upgrade you have to remember to disable UUP first. Now is a good time to check you are ready for ESD, instructions and downloadable registry files can be found in this post.

Keep on your mind that UUP registry settings will always reset to UUP enabled / ESD disabled when you upgrade, and are set to UUP enabled / ESD disabled after a clean install. This means that even if you disabled UUP and got build 15031 as an ESD upgrade, your registry was reset when you upgraded and is again set to enable UUP.

If you do not edit registry again leaving it as it is, you will get the next build as UUP upgrade.

You do not say this, but do I sense some fear that the UUPtoISO utility may not be able to produce a capable ISO for clean install this time around?

Chris, I don't think he meant that at all. It's just that it's a step that is easily forgotten and missed by some. It's sent as a reminder, as he has done over and over.

No. We had the build 15025 when UUP to ISO did not work but that was due other issues in upgrade system, other than that it has worked perfectly. I have no reasons to believe it would not work in the future.

Me repeating the importance to switch back to ESD if user prefers ESD is that the fact that an upgrade always automatically resets registry enabling UUP and disabling ESD is easily overlooked and forgotten. I'd rather post the reminder multiple times than later on post replies to questions like "Why did I get no ESD file? I checked and it was not there and now I have upgraded and can't make an ISO!".

Thanks, it will be UUPtoISO again for me this time - not only was UUP experience faster, and I guess improved with 15031, but the UUPToISO process seemed to be smoother too.

If the UUP process becomes truly a delta process, I guess that it will break the UUPtoISO model, since you can't use a differenced image to create a clean install - without reference to the installed software.

Yes, that is true. I am keenly waiting to see which direction Microsoft will take. A truly differential upgrade would not contain everything required to create ISO.

One possibility is of course if the upgrade is intelligent enough to allow ISO creation using both differential (changed and and downloaded) components as well as those from existing system which remained unchanged and were therefore not downloaded.

Uninstalled Hyper-V feature from Windows 10 (I still have it on Windows Server 2016).

    1) Installed Windows 10 Build 15025 in VMware WS 12.5.2 for Windows. It is now updating to build 15031. Signed in with the same Microsoft account as on my physical machine and the VM was automatically updated.

    2) Installed Windows 10 Enterlprise Build 15031 from a ISO made available from Wozar on MEGA file sharing system. The ISO was a mere 3.2GB and didn't ask me for a license key or Microsoft. Therefore it isunning well on a local account. I'll fiddle with the Windows Insider settings when a new build is announced here. BTW did I miss Dona's tweet that there will be no build today 2/22?

Just found a program called Product Key on Betanews. Running it on my main showed a product key completely different from the one I installed Windows 10. The OS is activated. Has anybody else seen this?

If MS was to release an ISO at same time or just short time later, all of this would be non-issue.

Add to that the current apparent push to Enterprise Insiders.
I'm guessing any Enterprise person sees all the warnings about not running Insider Previews on "production kit" and steers well clear. So no-one tests the Enterprise aspects during the Preview phase, then things break when it's released.
