Workaround for 15031 Non-responsive Action Center
15031 update went smoothly for me. 1st bug I found was it screwed up the time zone, setting it to the default Pacific time instead of leaving it at Eastern. I don't remember this happening in previous Insider releases.
That's a neat find! It would be awesome to test the Dynamic Lock feature with access to the UWP version of the Bluetooth settings.
Also, is it just me or can you not test this Dynamic Lock feature with an iPhone because the Bluetooth version in the iPhone isn't supported by Windows and hence you can't pair an iPhone with a Windows PC over Bluetooth?
Build 15031 didn't change my time zone from Eastern to Pacific, but Time Zone Automatically was set at Off for my configuration. This is the first UUP build that has worked for me without the registry setting i needed in Build 15025. I've also noticed desktop response is much faster than last build.
Finally got the time to get this build. No problems so far. Seems a bit snappier than before.
same location issue i had in 15025 still exists after clean-installing 15031
tried restarting Location in Services and tried the REG files in this thread Location Service - Turn On or Off in Windows 10 and still can't get Location to work
Hahhah, I have been using the insider builds as my main since they started the program. Had glitches here and there, but nothing I could not live with.
Worst case was when Explorer kept crashing constantly and files appeared in their new locations hours after they were copied/moved.
I switched to Console and PowerShell only, for most operations. Even starting applications I did from console as the display/window manager was working great. Problem was solved, and I learned a lot of new stuff. :-D
