Hell, all hybrid stuff suck because you can't make a good optimized program that can work on everything.
That's fine, Bunny. Good for you. Of course it's all software, it's all programs. Programs, programs, programs all the way down. I've been programming since 1978, starting with 6502 and Z80 assembly language back in the day. So what?
It's not 'all the same' to the huge majority of people using the stuff, and these people can easily discern the difference between an application written to the Win32 API, and one written to the WinRT API. The latter being an 'App'. The distinction is real and useful, and I don't know why it's so important to you and others to pretend otherwise.
