In 8/8.1 it was meant to aggregate your contacts including your social media accts. as it was on phone as a one stop place for social media. With the new Facebook api's preventing this on phone now, it results in a pretty useless app when pretty soon contacts will be in the new universal Skype messaging app for phone calls and texts through all devices.

Thanks for the information. I did a bit of my own research and gave it a try. It found me with an ISP that I have not had for years and of course an invalid e-mail address. I don't think this People App will be any use to me. I keep all my contacts in Outlook and it contains all my passwords and banking information that I will never upload to any cloud, especially a cloud outside of my country.

I set up a Facebook account when it first started. I decided it was too much of an invasion of privacy, that I have not used it since. I have heard that I can cancel it now, so I may go and do that.

Maybe someday Microsoft will allow users to cancel their Skype accounts.

This computer is a long way from my router with various walls in between and yet websites open almost instantly. With Windows 7 and 8.1 it's almost unbearable so I connect it to Ethernet.

My websites under 8.1 or 10 open almost instantly and both are connected wirelessly, right now at 1.3Gbps. That is only the speed from my machine to my router, it goes downhill from there.

I wouldn't care except that leaks make it really hard for Microsoft employees; both those who have to clean up the mess and those who fall under suspicion just because of the department they may work in.

There was a time some years ago that one could get on wZOR's website. They had every piece of Software available to DL of any product that MS had. Some how one cannot get on there anymore which is a good thing. If someone from MS is leaking this stuff they have to be doing it from home or sending it to someone else.

See I want the same image on all three. They forgot to put some options for syncing or not of this stuff.

Wzor.net seems to be alive and well at this point, Gary. I just opened the site, but didn't create an account. There's not much to see, though, and there's a statement that there's no software there.
