They're all the same.. App,Application.. program and software are the same. They are things you run on a compute written in a computer language. That simple..
Hardware is the PC and software is the code/programs run n the PC/Computer.

Yes, because in order to "Save theme for sharing" it needs to be active, the current theme, meaning it has already been synced if the theme sync is enabled!

It has nothing, I repeat ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY COMPLETELY NOTHING to do with Windows 10 MS Account theme syncing. When you create a .deskthemepack file it will not be synced with all your other computers in any way differently than any theme you use, saved, unsaved or saved for sharing.

Save the theme, it's saved locally and shared with all other Windows 8 or later computers you sign in with the same MS Account, subject to theme syncing being enabled. Save a .deskthemepack file and you can give it to anyone never even heard about an MS Account.

When you apply a .deskthemepack file on one computer with MS Account and theme sync enabled, it will of course be synced with all other computers with the same MS Account. The sync applies to every theme you use, unsaved, saved or saved for sharing when and only when the theme is applied and used.

    Really!

Thanks for saving my bacon, Kari, because as Tomcat said, I ain't skeered of pushing a button! Also, this clarifies a bit of what I'm doing when I create a theme.

    Yup.

Between my two machines, once created, it will eventually appear on both machines. If you have the theme sync checked in settings, the title bar colors will also show the color on the other machine as I witnessed this happen with my tablet and I only did the title bar mod on the pc.

In EDGE, I cannot use markup feature. Is this now disabled? Or is this peculiar to my computer? (Two of them????)

    Hahahaha, can't resist.

Long years ago, we had applications which for whatever reason became programs (programmers build programs?), then with the advent of phones and tablets (abbreviated computers), we found our way to apps.

So, the way I keep it all straight in my own mind is that a program is a full blown application with a few gazillion bells and whistles, while an app is an abbreviated application with some, but a lot fewer bells and whistles.

Got the point, everyone. I'm off this topic. Off this issue. Red is not my favorite color....
