You know, I think that RTM will actually be what we will get july 29th, because this the date of DIGITAL distribution. So? My conclusion is they have time until exact 29th to provide the RTM which they actually can finalize even at 28th. SImply because RTM means "Ready to Manufacture", and manufacturing will start 2 or 3 weeks after digital release. It can be 29th, so we have plenty of time!
I thought it's on the shelves as physical media on the release date, plus on new PC's?
If you just want to have some fun, you should just leave your 7 alone. Get another hard drive or SSD (they are really more affordable these days) and install 10 separately. Put away your Win 7 hard drive (you can always come back to it) and install win 10 fresh on a new hard drive. That is what most of us do. Don't keep upgrading your 7 and back. It's really a lot of work.
You can use the new hard drive later as a backup drive when 10 is released.
