15025 killed Sickrage for me, can't start it now, tried a reinstall and still can't launch the service

"SickRage exited with return code 3221225794."

Either your Python installation got killed or you have some other permission problems when loading certain DLLs. Try Reinstalling Python.

Much thanks for the reply :)

Yep first step was a Sickrage reinstall, nothing, second step was a Python reinstall, nothing, third step was check the git hub and people are reporting the same issue: SickRage service stuck in "Paused" state . Issue #3070 . SickRage/SickRage . GitHub

You're welcome. I C this seems definitely as some sort of permission problem. please check Event Logs for possible further error details.

Yeah I guess that was step 0.1 I checked event viewer and it was so useless I forgot to mention it! I was using NSSM to launch Sickrage as a service, event logs only shows:

Program C:\Python27\python.exe for service SickRage exited with return code 3221225794.
Killing process tree of process 14212 for service SickRage with exit code 3221225794
Killing PID 14212 in process tree of PID 14212 because service SickRage is stopping.
Service SickRage action for exit code 3221225794 is Restart. Attempting to restart C:\Python27\python.exe.

And that basically loops, tried googling the error etc but haven't found anything useful.
I've tried starting Sickrage manually by double clicking SickBeard.py but it seems to only partially work, it runs but the cmd window just hangs there and sickrage itself seems to have issues getting TV show information.

Edit: got it working, using the VBS shortcut launch method as here: Install SickRage Windows for Usenet Torrent TV •

So that will do for now until NSSM is compatible again :)

Yes the problem is with the service. I downloaded this thingie and started it manually, and it works great this way.

It's like a Windows update upgrade. I did it on Friday.
That's what I found. Except it works. The same simple progress indicator as in the Windows Update build upgrade.

One difference I have noticed over the past few build upgrades is that it was not possible to spy on the background processes using Shift+F10 to open a cmd console and from there, taskmgr and notepad to take notes. ( I would also start 7zipFM.exe to look at the files that were being produced, and where they went compared to the % progress indicated.) This upgrade was identical in that respect to WU upgrades.

Another annoying feature is that the upgrade has messed with the BCD Bootmenu, returning it to standard (Boot Immersive Menu) from the legacy text only menu that I get sick of returning the menu to after each upgrade.

The WinX menu has reverted to Command prompt from the Powershell it was in 15019 !?

My last selected theme desktop background was replaced with my previous theme at first, and an old lock screen came up after OOBE finished, rather than my current selection. Sometime while writing this, the background went black for a few minutes then my most recent theme appeared.

I have several machines that run with Microsoft Account logons. These seem to cycle around offering to share their lockscreen and Background personalizations with any machine I log on with, and sometimes go back a version or two.
Edge has been unpinned from the Taskbar in the previous build, but opening Edge as a browser re-pins Edge to the Taskbar.

Edge is persistently and doggedly uncooperative with all Google pages.

Get used to it Microsoft - Google ain't going away, unless Microsoft produces a better browser, search engine, Phone and store than those associated with Google - just blocking anything Googlish is petty, a childish and largely unpopular measure which will result in many users just ignoring Edge, however well-featured it gets.

Cortana had unhidden herself. And got hidden again, oh and changed from George to Susan. I long for the day when the choices contain Barry from Dudley West Midlands, or Doris from Tyneside, Glenda from Glasgow, Azif from Bradford, Surly Jaarge from Wiltshire, or Ho Ping Su from Manchester. I'll turn Cortana on then.

My 18 notifications remain invisible when the frosted aero panel appears on the RHS of the screen. How do I get to see them some other way?

My custom HOSTS file has been reverted to default, so unwanted and potentially harmful ads and links appear on some websites

Also from the UK, Slice. Like your pretty, celtic blue eye avatar! Reminds me of my 1st g/f!

From a clean install, trying to do anything like Gmail, downloading Chrome because Bing is in control, seems to get pointed to Google.com, not google.co.uk. I don't know if it's blocked by proxy. Then a pattern of being unable to find google. addresses or do google searches.

Internet explorer still has my preference for a Google.co.uk homepage.

Then found Google App on the Windows store, and after that could d/l Chrome, find gmail from Edge without any problems - it was as if it was just making it hard to d/l Chrome before then it all just went away. Maybe because I always change proxy settings from Automatically detect settings to unchecked.

This can slow down Google Chrome pageloads because Chrome gets tied up in looking for a proxy before loading the page straight.
