I'm stuck at the "initializing updates". **A problem with the update?

    45 minutes later.... WTF Microslop?
This is some really lousy coding.
I just don't have this much free time, being a working man, to upgrade
    at a snails pace.

You should measure CPU time. (that's what MS will say)

This VM is pretty well pimped too.
8 virtual processors running at 4.1GHz(my 4.91 on my host doesn't seem to take on the VM)
    8GB RAM @3008MHz
Virtual machine is on an SSD

    What more does it need?

After Initializing for over an hour, did a restart on computer, set UUP off again checked for updates, I am up to date. Will wait until tomorrow, as it seems to work on the second day???
This morning, rechecked UUP is still OFF, checked for updates and 15025 started. About 35 minutes later installed without issue, .esd file saved. Don't know why I am always on the second day "download" schedule? Initial go thru, EDGE remains unresponsive, this is the 3rd build in a row that this has happened. FF always works. My notification panel is populated, was not the last 2 builds until 3rd manual reboot. Any suggestions on how to awake EDGE?? Tx

Thanks for that information. I gave up and turned and used the registry hack to turn it off followed by using disk cleanup to get rid of the system update files. Now after a restart it searched for updates and I just checked, downloads are at 100%.
