Same thing happened to Bob. He set UUP off and it showed up.

I got the registry hacks from this webpage: ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File

Look under tips in the yellow blurb and you should what things you have to change.

Set it to off before I started to hit that check for updates button. Restart. Changing from fast to slow and back (restarted in between) and some other things I can't remember any more.

But when I change font size, the graphics are also changed in size and are still clear. I changed font size to 150 and it changes graphics to corresponding size.

THANK YOU! this UUP is a failure, i never had so many issues trying to download a build, been trying for over 2 hours to get it to start but it didn't work, disabled UUP and now it's already downloading at 11%
also thanks to whomever created the guide to do so

Just to make your frustration even clearer, I had the same issue: stuck with default settings (UUP enabled) and after 3 hours+ of waiting at "Initializing updates or whatever", I got fed up and enabled ESD through the registry changes mentioned above. Now, after just waiting 46 minutes, my VM is ready to restart to install the latest build! Huh!
