Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15019 for PC Insider
-
Got fed up with the UUP downloading process for this build. Changed my registry settings to enable esd download and the latest build started downloading right away...go figure!
This is after waiting for 3 hours+ at the "initializing update" step in this process!!!!

Unusually this latest update has been a real pain....3 times it has tried updating without success...

Downloading pass 2 on my physical machine. This looks hopeful. Will refrain my multitasking leaving CPU resources 15-30%

Thanks...I feared as much...How they could think scaling up everything on the screen was the same thing as changing various font sizes beats me...Well, I left Microsoft some feedback on it...

You must have posted while I was writing. I hope leaving out font adjustment is just an oversight. Sizes are entirely too small on my screen unless I can enlarge them, but I don't want everything else bigger.
Its in the DISPLAY settings down a bit further than before. I think you are talking about font size - default 100 % ????
In the first post..
Custom scaling has been migrated from Control Panel to now be a subpage in Display Settings

You haven't updated yet! And you do see that? I'm not losing it? (I heard that.....)

Yes, we are both frustrated about the same thing... Agreed--nothing is uglier than blown-up bitmaps...! It's one of the main reasons I use Firefox, in fact, because of the "zoomtextonly" option that allows me to adjust fonts independently of all other screen elements.

Custom scaling & the older font size adjustment are two entirely different settings. The former has always been there, the latter has been removed. Custom scaling scales everything on the screen--the font size adjustment scales nothing, it allows you to change the font sizes of most of the fonts Windows uses--to your choice of several fixed sizes. It's been removed from this build.
