Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15019 for PC Insider

So far a big fat 0. I hope this fixes my boot up issues.
Not doing anything.
Working except having to do a reset
to boot this one computer build. Sound in the headset is back. Youtube is working well.
Still updating other computers.

First of several ISO images on its way, this one UK English x64 PRO:
-
Mine is also still initialising updates after 44 minutes, maybe because it has an Athlon II 240e.

CPU has nothing to do with it. Running a VM with a 6850K and gave it 3 of my 6 cores....still have the same issue as you!

Despite what the Microsoft blog states, the only way I could get the WU download started was to first disable UUP, then reboot; then enable UUP and reboot and run WU. Following that procedure, downloading commenced almost instantaneously.
After all of this if the upgrade should fail at some point, I'll revert and do the esd-iso routine myself...;)
Edit: Heh...;) Looks like I spoke too soon, because after watching it go through all of the download steps, and then seeing it peg at 100% complete--was waiting for the instruction to reboot to begin the upgrade--and instead it went right back to "Initializing Updates" and hung there...! Joke's on me, I guess...;) I salvaged the install.esd, though, and am trying again with UUP turned *off*...it appears to be working, now--will come back when it completes--if it completes...!
The suspense mounts and the crowd goes "ooohhh!"....;) Next time I'll just do the iso if this fails.

Still initializing here as well...

I'm off to the races with my two test machines. The Dell Venue Pro 11 is on the "initializing updates" stage, the Z87 MSI desktop sat on 100% download for a good 5 minutes, but is now doing likewise. I'll edit this post to report on progress and/or problems as they occur. Here we go again, eh?
Best to all the brave souls firing it up!

[Posted almost 3 hours later: took 2.5 hours to upgrade the fast desktop and almost 3 to do the slow one: MSI and Dell respectively. Noticed the "interesting" message in Action Center on both machines: Finish installing device software, which I take to mean driver changes. That said, both machines were working OK after the upgrade, though RARP (DriverStore Explorer) did find a few duplicates and outdated items when I opened them up to check driver status and freshness. Final assessment: so far, so good, plenty to try out and learn.]

Reason: Report on upgrade completion

ISO image from 15019 ESD upgrade is almost the same size than 15014:
ISO has exactly one file more, 1,701 files compared to 1,700:
(Screenshots, ISO size and number of files from EN-GB x64 ISO.)

That must be the file that magically cures all the ills of 15014!!!

Still 'Initializing updates...' and no ~BT folder yet;
perhaps a restart is in order.
