I am getting it as I type. :)
I had these issues it seems the windows update version (the engineer release) gets messed up by the AMD Win8 version.
Here's how I dealt with the issue succesfully.
Uninstalled any version of CCC on the system and rebooted. Went into admin tools and ran a full disk cleanup including system files and especially update files. In C:/AMD or C:/Program Files/AMD you should have a folder called WU-CCC2 or something similar. This is the windows 10 specific version from windows update. Run the setup in there and reboot. Hopefully if it worked like it did for me you should be all good. Subsequent updates have been successful and the issue is only introduced again if you attempt to use a non windows update version of CCC.
A registry cleanup after uninstalling current versions maybe a good step too.
Hope this helps, let me know :)
So-o-o-o-o.....Just as I was trying to post something, my computer shutdown to install 10159. Seems it was set to install at 9:30, but since I was on battery, it delayed. The minuted I plugged in, down it went - right in the middle of my work!
MS had better do something about that!
Are we confusing 'validate' with 'verify'? What frackingoil says is how you VERIFY your particular MS Account so you can use the Store and various synchronizations, etc. Typically you request to verify, and MS emails you a code to enter, and then you're good to go.
You validate, or more accurately, 'activate' your OS installation by entering a valid Product Key in System properties.
