I could not, for the life of me, get that pro key to activate. I eventually resorted to running slui.exe 4 from the Win+R dialog, went through the phone setup, and that eventually sorted things out. I did an upgrade of a working, up to date and activated Windows 8.1 system, with a 10159 ESD image, converted to ISO.

In short, internet activation failed after trying several ways, but the phone activation worked for me. Not sure if my phone codes are valid for anyone else, but I kept them aside in a text file, and screencapped slui.exe, just in case.

I've also installed build 10159, through the Windows update from 10158. It took it a while to install, and for my GPU + soundcard to function properly I had to clean install both of their drivers. This build looks great, I didn't have time to use it yet, but I still have this issue on shutdown or reboot where "an application is preventing the computer from shutting down (or rebooting)". Sometimes it does not give the name of this app, other times it is the Program Manager.

I have to either press "restart (or reboot) anyway" or wait for a couple of seconds for the computer to proceed to the respective action. In general, shutting down (or rebooting) takes a "few more" seconds then usual. I will report it.

Ok thanks I just cant get it for some reason I couldn't get build 10158 either. I will try a clean install of 130 see if that helps.

I iso'd to 10147 and 10158...couldn't get fast ring to stick on 10147 but updated normally from 10158 :)

Only significant bug is duplicated desktop pinned shortcut in taskbar file explorer and can't unpin either of them:

Thanks for the bug info. I couldnt find an EN-GB iso to do the install with. I wanted to try Cortana out so didnt want to install the US version that I found. Also noticed in your screenshot that the preview watermark has now gone which is good.

Watermark is still present...used universal watermark remover to get rid of it!

    Hi there

No go for me -- still keep getting system is up to date -- and there's no settings any more for FAST / SLOW rings. I do keep getting prompts though to sign with an Ms account to receive insider builds

Does this mean that build 10158 won't update unless you sign in with an Ms account).

    Cheers

    Really!

For the past few days i have been reading all sort of comments/questions on the latest build releases of Windows 10 by Microsoft, about how to get it!

And it's utterly frustrating: why can't MS just release a (fast ring) build by making it also available as a simple download without all the fuzz, damn it, that's why at the end i just can't avoid detesting Microsoft.

To Microsoft - just make it plane easy!
