Strange. The install.esd file is no longer in the BT folder but in the folder marked RecoveryImage.

I don't even have the RecoveryImage folder.

C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources and go down to install.esd You need to grab it before you reboot your system...Kari has posted excellent instructions on this...
If you say so, but as far as I know, I did not reboot after the opening desktop. I was not watching the install tho (I saw it last night after all!)

Me neither, and the .esd file is gone from Sources folder this time as well.

Sorry, I edited my original post. The RecoveryImage folder was left over from the 10074 preview build. I deleted the folder. But no install.esd was to be found on my C drive even though I did not deliberately reboot.

Another strange thing. I used MS's Disk Cleaner (cleanmgr) to get rid of the windows.old and the $windows...BT folders. The first thing I noticed was that the checkbox for uninstall old installation folders was already IN the cleanup (I used to have to go and select the system files version). It got rid of the Windows.old (after I used the file unlocker program on one .dll that was left over). But the BT folder was still there. I deleted that by hand but the first time I had to do that. Little and confusing changes going on now.
