You can download the 15042 ISO from Microsoft and upgrade or clean install that way instead of waiting.

Once done, make sure you are on the Fast ring and you should be able to upgrade to 15048. That's what I did last night, worked great.
Yes that would be the ideal solution except that my HP Laptop refuses to install any 15000 series build. I get a BSOD on first boot. I have posted a thread in the BSOD section.

When you did the Clean Install from a flash drive, did you delete all the partitions on the boot drive then let the Windows 10 installer setup the partitions it needed? The drive should be unformatted, unallocated after you delete all the partitions.

If you want to have (recommended) the 450 MB (UEFI-GPT) or 500 MB (Legacy BIOS-MBR) System Reserved partition in addition to the Windows C: partition on a HDD or SSD after installation, then you would need to make sure that all partitions on the drive have been deleted until it is only unallocated space. Next, select the unallocated drive to install Windows on. If there are no partitions on the disk, you will get the System Reserved partition.

Yep the wait is surely almost over. It's a shame this doesn't happen more often - it's been fantastic not having any updates for such a long time. I'd imagine MS will make up for this big time once creators update releases with a slew of cumulative updates in quick succession in the aftermath.
