Two issues, which I will report to MS

    1. At boot, Desktop icons have no names and all folders and drives show a scrambled mess of snarled up gibberish.
    A re-boot fixes this.

    2. Edge Browser. It's dead Dave. Refuses to seek out new webpages and go boldly to strange new urls.
Cleared all preferences etc - No change.

But as mentioned, its all part of the fun.

EDIT: Edge now seems to work - Bizarre. It's taken two days (well, three or four hours) since update but it 'seems' ok

Are you fixing my stuff as I post MS?
Ah! The marvels of telemetry at work! When you see an 8x10 glossy of Nadella pop up, you'll know it's finished.

using defender, MBAM3 and windows firewall control app with medium filtering (needs rules for in and out).
    Working good.

Yeah, they are sending boo rays to fix it.
    You misunderstood my comment.

I was praising MS for the 'fix'

    Edge wasn't working.

    I posted here.

    Edged started working.

I would suggest a syntax error.

Well, without a boo ray it wouldn't get fixed.

I received the Insider Survey yesterday as well and completed it this morning. Most of the questions made sense.

    GLOB files have returned

GLOB files just returned on my physical installation of build 15014 as well a Virtualbox VM of the Enterprise version.

They have file dates of 12/3/2016

What's with this? Does anybody know what these files are for? Is is reasonable to delete them?

Around 12/3/16 was when MS was prepping for the last release of 2016, and first in 15xxx series. A lot of us have just deleted them with no issues. I don't think they've updated the Disk Cleanup process yet to account for them as junk.

According to Larry Hyrb aka MajorNelson, a new Insider build should start rolling out tomorrow.

Maybe I'll get lucky and not be one of the "Subsets of Insiders". I'm not a gamer, although there are lots of them, enthusiasts waiting for MS enhancements. I've seen enhancements to gaming and xBox come out before and leaked unexplained phenomena to the non-gaming parts of the OS. Hope I'm wrong....

Actually I suspect they herald a new build release. According to the post below this there will be one tomorrow. Deleting won't cause a problem except they will probably be reinstalled on Donwload pass 1. Just a guess of course
